In The Pink@ The proms
A scintillating, dazzling culmination of music, the last night of the Proms is traditionally a night of rowdy, singsong fun.
The famous conductor Owain Arwel Hughes OBE asked In The Pink to be his chosen charity for the evening. So 30 ladies looking more like a line up for a beauty parade than a charity wowed the audience in their black dresses and hot-pink fluffy feather boas.
After a fabulous night the girls collected a whooping £3,132 – more than double the amount any other charity has raised at this event.
We put this down to the enthusiasm of the girls, a great charity and the generosity of the prom-goers. One of the pink ladies, Charlotte Price of Carmeltown Stores Ebbw Vale said “ I didn’t realize the proms could be so much fun, I had a great time, receiving compliments and helping my favourite charity” |
